December 23, 2008:

Hello friends.  Today, my position as Midday Personality on Fresh 105.9 was eliminated. I was let go as the latest in a string of budget cuts throughout CBS Radio in Chicago and nationwide. As a Chicago native and radio vet who has traveled the country for many radio gigs, hosting Middays in my hometown had always been a “dream job” of mine.

I finally achieved that goal when our station signed on, in the past year.  We all probably have more than one dream job, but even in these days of consolidation and rampant budget cuts, I had hoped our staff would remain intact at this one for a bit longer, before any personnel changes on the 10th floor of Prudential 2. (Unfortunately there have been several.) I hope to pick up a similar job before the face of Radio changes completely.

It has been an amazing year, working with the fantastic, talented Mike LeBaron and Rick Hall, and everyone behind the scenes at Fresh.  It has been my sheer pleasure to entertain you every day, and I hope to be spinning tunes and interacting with you from a Chicago air studio very soon!!
